Anne McSweeney

Anne McSweeney, LMSW

President

Anne McSweeney, LMSW and President of CEU Concepts, has a diverse background in community relations and medical social work. Drawing from her varied background and real-life social work experiences, Anne and her team provide up-to-date, interesting, informative, relevant, and fresh educational seminars that allow the participants to enjoy themselves while gaining useful skills for their daily practices.

During her 22 year career, Anne has been planning CEU events for healthcare professionals for over 10 years. Through these interactions, Anne has developed very strong relationships among her peers (including social workers, nurses, case managers and other healthcare professionals) and has found a niche in providing educational events for them. She strives to maintain the positive reputation she earned with her colleagues by presenting the highest quality educational events as she understands the information/educational topics they need to be successful. And since Anne has attended hundreds of continuing education events over the course of her social work career, she maintains a unique social work perspective for planning CEU events. Her CEU presentations have been so widely received – they have been featured at many local and national professional conferences including – ACMA National; ACMA GA Annual Conference, CMSA Annual Conference, GA Hospice & Palliative Care Annual Conference and NASW GA Annual Conference.

In Anne’s earlier social work career, she worked as a licensed medical social worker for Home Health Care/Hospice and then Renal Dialysis, where her day-to-day responsibilities included: home visits, psychosocial assessments, and patient advocacy. Managing a case load of as many as 125 patients, Anne worked in conjunction with other social service agencies and provided ongoing support and counseling. With both organizations, she served as an active member of the interdisciplinary team which consisted of physicians, nurses, therapists, and other social workers.

She is a graduate of Auburn University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama. She resides in Alpharetta with her husband, Steve and 2 daughters.
